His keen interest for crosscultural experiments has led him to encounter wizards like Maurice Béjart, Jordi Savall, Didier Malherbe, Marc Ducret, Nguyen Lê, Saïd Shraïbi, Jamchid Chemirani… Reputed both as a performer and a teacher, Prabhu is a cosmopolitan artist whose tablas build bridges between traditional and contemporary world music. He arranged Seheno's first album KA and made the design of her round cd cover.
His first album KÔLAM, recorded between Paris, Kolkata, Mumbai, a mixture of indian music, jazz, hindi pop... is out now!!
